Art Park - Bentonville AR

Art Park is a multi-use parking structure that serves as an extension of the Crystal Bridges Museum campus in Bentonville. Designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects with MBLA as landscape architect, the design responds to surrounding forest by contrasting against it with blazing teal panels, while also integrating into the landscape through indigenous plantings. The panels on the facade respond expressively to changing light conditions, creating a dynamic visual effect. The project also includes a second story proscenium. Photographing the variegated surface of the panels on a partially cloudy day required managing constant shifts in reflective qualities.
